About the author

About Sarah Cowell, the author of the Everything You Want To Know About How To Compost Everything blog & e-book.
The blog (and e-book) were written in response to what wasn’t being talked about in any depth in the existing literature about composting. The question ‘If it doesn’t go in your compost heap where does it go?’ never seems to be addressed. Someone else’s problem? NIMBY? Yet many of the items that you MUST NOT PUT IN YOUR COMPOST were organic and would break down. Surely with a bit of thought these items could go in your compost without becoming a danger to your pristine plot? New technologies and ideas about composting are surfacing all the time and it’s often a question of how rather than the complete ban recommended. After all we don’t want landfill or incinerators near us, do we?

Please enjoy the articles and mini-course (all free and no obligation), and if you’re looking for more, the eBook ‘Everything You Want To Know About How To Compost Everything!’ will give you everything you need to make the right decision about which system to use for your unique situation, from apartment living to small holdings.

Sarah Cowell was a homeopath for 12 years before being completely entranced by the plant kingdom. She retrained with a RHS diploma in horticulture and now works part time for a charity teaching basic horticulture skills to vulnerable adults and looking after an acre plot in the Wiltshire countryside.
